Westland Community News is honored to share that we’ve received the 2025 Lifesaver Award from the Westland Goodfellows. The award recognizes our support of the Westland Goodfellows Christmas Program, which helps local families during the holiday season.

Our readers were instrumental in making this happen. You shared our articles, you helped spread the word, and you stepped up to help buy Christmas gifts for families who needed a little extra help. That kind of community support is exactly what makes Westland special, and we’re proud to be part of it.
We support the Goodfellows because their mission is simple and important: making sure kids and families in our community don’t get left behind at Christmas. Whether it’s spreading the word, helping drive donations, or making sure the community knows where help is available, we’re grateful we’ve been able to play a role in a program that means so much to so many people.
